Although you don't need an accounting background to use QuickBooks, the software needs to be setup and used correctly for the accounting information to be accurate.

All information necessary to setup manual accounting records is also necessary to setup QuickBooks on your computer. This task is even more complicated if you switch from manual accounting operations to QuickBooks in the middle of a year.

Which accounting method will you use? What chart of accounts do you need for your business? How do you handle beginning balances?  Should you use job or class tracking?  We have the expertise to help you answer all of these questions and complete the initial setup in a timely manner. In addition, we can train your employees on the software to enhance their performance.

How much does it cost?

We realize that you want to know how much the project is going to cost before you make a purchase, so we have set up packages to help you obtain the services you need at a price you are willing to pay.  If you have a new business, just select the packages that fit your needs and budget, answer a few simple questions, and let us do the rest!  All prices listed are for services provided in one of our offices.

The "start from scratch" package - $200

You want to get started using QuickBooks and you want expert help from the start.  We will provide the following services (This does not include payroll setup.  If you have employees, you will need to add a payroll setup package).

  • Evaluate your accounting needs
  • Assist you in selecting and ordering the appropriate software and related services.
  • Provide you with the minimum hardware requirements to run the accounting software.
  • Install and register the QuickBooks software.
  • Set-up your company information
  • Enter a pre-set chart of accounts for your industry with customization for your entity type, bank accounts, etc.
  • Customize the company preferences for sales tax, job costing, class tracking, etc.
  • Set-up users and security settings

 

The "I thought I could do it, but realized I don't want to" package - $110  

You already have the software purchased and installed, but decided not to take a chance on setting it up yourself.  We can get your company file set up correctly and ready for you to start data entry. (This does not include payroll setup.  If you have employees, you will need to add a payroll setup package).

  • Set-up your company information
  • Enter a pre-set chart of accounts for your industry with customization for your entity type, bank name, etc.
  • Customize the company preferences for sales tax, job costing, class tracking, etc.
  • Set-up users and security settings

 

Payroll set-up - $55

We can get you ready to begin preparing payroll. 

  • Set up your payroll items
  • Set up an employee template
  • Schedule your payroll liabilities

We can also set-up the individual employees for an additional $10 per employee.
